2008 is drawing to a close and it is time to reflect on our preservation year with Steam in Action. There certainly was plenty of action with the main operators moving forward although a little slower they all had hoped. Reefsteamers continue to take their professional approach and with support from the local Municipality, Ekhureleni, have rebuilt some of their coaches as well as bringing GMAM 4079 and David Shepherd’s 15F 3052 up to tip top operating condition. In Pretoria, Friends of the Rail have put 15F 3117 back in steam and begun their move to their new Hercules base…
