Another lost treasure to the Natal coast line was the demise of the Scotburgh Miniature Railway. Again I have very little info on it other than the few pictures I have in my collection. The one above is from one of our club members, Sylvia Hedgecock, also known as the lady in control of the signal box. We see now her interest in steam engines dates well back!
It was still around in my time; however steam had long since disappeared from the railway. I believe the locomotive was bought by a chap in Hillcrest, Pinetown. It ran on his garden railway were it was later joined by a magnificent 15F and GCA built by Dick Collier.
Does any one have any more info or pictures on the subject; it seems as if there is a drought on the net when it comes to this kind of history?
